Gibraltar Men's team play top Russian team

The Gibraltar Mens team were invited to Malaga by our friends from Club Hockey Malaga 91 who had been hosting top Russian side Dinamo Eketarinburg.
Dinamo are a top Russian side and recently competed in EHL, Europe's top club competition!
The game started off as expected, Dinamo in full control and exerting pressure on our boys. A couple of individual mistakes saw Dinamo take a 2-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Our boys were enjoying good moments and had various chances that they were unable to convert. Dinamo however, were making no mistake and pounced on every opportunity to take a 4-0 lead into half time.
A half time pep talk and break in the shade saw Gibraltar come out fighting in the second half.
Confidence growing and chances mounting it was a matter of time before our squad made a breakthrough. A quick incisive pass from Shane Ramagge found Karl Lima in space who made no mistake slotting the ball home for 4-1.
Gibraltar kept pushing for another right until the death of the game but encountered a solid dinamo defence. Even when the keeper was beaten the defender managed to clear off the line from a Kayron Stagno drag flick.
In the end a 4-1 loss but plenty of positives to be taken from a great game against top class opponents.
